Soft-Washing refers to cleaning that does not involve high pressure. Typically a soft-wash consists of a low-pressure application of water, soap, and SH (sodium hypochlorite), and a rinse-down of that solution after some dwell time. The concentration of elements in the solution will vary based on what is being washed, and how dirty that material is.
Pressure Washing is more self-evident in definition. It means cleaning a surface with a high-pressure stream of water (>1000 psi). Pressure washing can be used for brick and older concrete, but it is never appropriate for a shingle roof, and is not recommended for hardie siding or vinyl siding.
